No untoward Incident in Dhekiajuli after NRC Final List is Declared

DHEKIAJULI: As the NRC final list was declared in Assam on Saturday, the situation in and around Dhekiajuli Revenue Circle was peaceful.

The local administration had made arrangements for people to check the final list in altogether 26 NSKs, including the circle office of Dhekiajuli. MM Paowary, the OC of Dhekiajuli Police Station, informed that there were no untoward incidents in greater Dhekiajuli subdivision after the publication of the final NRC list on Saturday.

Circle Officer Sabyasachi Kashyap said that the situation was normal after the declaration of the final NRC list.

Several complaints were received from some National Register of Citizens applicants of Dhekiajuli revenue circle area where the complainants expressed doubts over their document verification process.

They alleged that all their family members were not included in the final National Register of Citizens list and few of their family members were excluded.
