Non Government Organization (NGO) Takes Part in Blood Donation Camp in Dhubri

DHUBRI: Mini-marathon, blood donation camp and art competition organized on Police Day under the auspices of the Dhubri Police Department drew enthusiastic participation from local organizations. A large number of policemen, youths and local people, including Dhubri Superintendent of Police, Longnit Terang and Additional Superintendent of Police, Gunindra Deka participated in the mini-marathon from Gauripur Railway Station to the Dhubri Superintendent of Police office while the Humanity, an NGO widely known for blood donation, distributed water and cold drink to the participants.

Activists of the Humanity also collected all glasses, bottles and garbage from the distribution and office areas and also cleaned all places as part of Swachhata Hi Seva. The members of the Humanity also participated in the blood donation camp organized on Police Day at the Dhubri Police Reserve premises and donated blood. The members also participated in the blood donation camp organized by Dhubri Ladies Club on Gandhi Jayanti.

Secretary of the Humanity, Sudip Kundu, while talking to The Sentinel, informed that National Blood Donation Day, Assam Police Day and also the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi were celebrated by the organization by taking active participation in all the programmes on October 1 and October 2.
