NSCN (K) over ground worker apprehended at Changlang in Arunachal Pradesh

Guwahati: Based on specific intelligence received from own local sources regarding the presence of an NSCN (K) Over Ground Worker in general area Ratanpur, District Changlang (Arunachal Pradesh), an operation was launched by the 9^th Battalion of the Rajputana Rifles at Ratanpur on 16 February 2019.

During the operation one, NSCN (K) Over Ground Worker identified as Aurungsa Chakma, son of Hagm Chakma, age - 19 years, a resident of Village Dayun, District - Changlang (Arunachal Pradesh) has been apprehended.

The apprehended NSCN (R) Over Ground Worker was handed over to Police Station Miao and First Information Report was lodged under section IPC Sec 384, 511, 506 & Sec 10 of UA (P) Act 1967.

This operation is part of the ongoing crackdown by security forces on the terrorist organization active in South Arunachal Pradesh wherein there have been many apprehensions of the insurgents.
