Number of COVID-19 deaths spiked to 55 in Tinsukia district

TINSUKIA: With the demise of Suresh Talukdar (53) and Amtaz Hussain (75) both from Panitola on Saturday and Sunday respectively, the number of COVID deaths spiked to 55 in Tinsukia district. Though number of positive cases has been declining, 57 new positive cases have been reported during past2days that included Superintendent of Police ShiladityaChetia and Additional SP RipunjayKakoti. Thus total number of positive cases tallying to 4628 however, 3748 persons have been released from COVID hospitals/ Care Centres in Tinsukia district.
