OBITUARY

Mangal Deori

Mangal Deori, founder Principal of Kotiyori Higher Secondary School, adviser of Deori Xahitya Xabha and a resident of Kotiyori near Demow, died in a hospital in Guwahati on December 31. Mangal Deori was also the former vice-president and cashier of Thowra Block Congress Committee and a social worker. He was suffering from old-age ailments. His death has been widely condoled in the area. The Thowra Congress paid their last respects to Mangal Deori. He leaves behind his wife, three sons, a daughter and a host of relatives.
