Khanjan Das, a noted tabla artiste of Tangla town in Udalguri district left for his heavenly abode due to prolonged illness on December 7 last. Born on 6 August, 1989 to late Dinanath Das and Runu Das he was an expert tabla player associated with Sadna Sangeet Kala Academy, Tangla.

A noble soul and pious person he was loved and admired by all for his amicable disposition. He left behind his mother, a host of relatives and well-wishers. His death was widely mourned by a number of organizations and institutions including Tangla chapter of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP), Tangla Media Circle, Sadna Sangeet Kala Academy.
