ONGC pipeline blast

Joysagar, May 21: A high-pressure crude oil and natural gas pipeline of the ONGC under Demual oil field near Hanhchara of Sivasagar bursted on Sunday. Sources said that the pipeline connected the Demual GGS-41 with the GGS-1 rig. Suddenly there was a blast and large quantity of crude oil as well as natural gas spread in and around the rig area due to which many hectares of paddy field of local farmers were affected. Later, technical staff of ONGC rushed to the spot to repaired the damaged pipeline.
