Guwahati: Amid rising concerns over the past week over the sharp spike in the number of coronavirus cases, PM Narendra Modi has decided to hold a meeting with the ministers of all the states over video conference on June 16 and 17.

On June 16, PM Modi has scheduled to hold talks with the Northeastern State ministers along with 13 other states.

PM Modi last spoke with Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal to discuss the situation of the Baghjan blowout. He assured all possible support from the Centre.

The meeting will begin at 3 pm.

On May 11, PM Modi discussed with Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal along with other state ministers regarding the ongoing pandemic situation as the deadline of the lockdown approached.

Previously PM Modi has held five conferences with the state ministers amid the ongoing pandemic situation.

This will be PM Modi's first such conference after India entered its Unlock 1.0.
