Power Minister takes stock of government schemes

BILASIPARA: Minister of Sports, Youth Welfare, Cultural Affairs and Power Minister Bimal Borah visited the Bilasipara Sub-Division to check on the implementation of various government schemes. He was given a warm welcome at the community hall of Bilasipara Municipal Board by the Bilasipara Sub-Divisional Administration and the SDO (Civil), Bilasipara Jay Shivani.

He attended a meeting at the community hall of the Bilasipara Town Committee and interacted with the beneficiaries of Orunodoi scheme, Indira Miri Sabajanin Widow Pension Scheme, Old Age Pension Scheme, pension receiving benefits under COVID-19, Atal Amrit Abhiyan and PM-JAN AROGYA Yojana. He said that according to the needs and requirements of the people, the State government has introduced a number of schemes.

The minister then interacted with all the scheme holders. He had a spot verbal conversation with the beneficiaries. Some of the beneficiaries reported that for the last three months they did not receive the stipulated amount and their account was blocked to which the minister reiterated that this probably happens because of the non-submission of necessary documents, stated a press release.
