Protest at Nagaon

NAGAON: Hundreds of deprived candidates from the written test for recruitment of Assam Police constables after being qualified in the physical test held in 2018, staged a protest in front of the office of Deputy Commissioner on Friday. During the protest, the participants reverberated the air with various slogans and demanded justice by providing them with the opportunity to appear in written test for the recruitment.

Following the stir, the protesters submitted a memorandum to the Superintendent of Police, Nagaon and asked the authority concerned to review all to provide them a chance to meet them before February 20. The deprived candidates however claimed in the memorandum that one candidate even was called for written test for the post of APRO constable, AB constable and UB constable at the same time.
