PSO of Special Reserve Force DSP in Nalbari arrested for supplying arms to Robbers

Nalbari: In startling incident, a Protective Service Officer (PSO) of a Deputy Superintendent of Police at Special Reserve Force was arrested for allegedly supplying arms to robbers in Nalbari District.

The PSO was identified as Manoj Barman.

Based on a tip-off, a police team under the supervision of officer in charge of Nalbari Police Station, Tapan Kalita launched an operation last night and arrested PSO Manoj Barman from Ganesh Hotel at Barjhar in Nalbari and seized several weapons from his possession.

As per police reports, PSO Barman was in touch with several locals robbers in the area and was supplying weapons to them from the past few months.

A case has been registered (Case No 581/19) at Nalbari Police Station against PSO Manoj Barman.
