Public Accounts Committee Reviews Schemes, Projects in Hailakandi

Hailakandi: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the Assam Legislative Assembly reviewed various schemes and projects in Hailakandi. The PAC, headed by Chairman Rajdev Gowala, held discussion with Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli and heads of departments and reviewed the schemes and projects undertaken during the financial years 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20 at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall here on Friday.

Earlier, the committee made on-the-spot inspection of schemes and projects undertaken by various departments like Panchayat and Rural Development, PHE, Water Resources, PWD (Rural, State, NH), PWD (Building), Irrigation, Health, Education, Agriculture, Food and Civil Supplies, Forest, Veterinary, Social Welfare, Cooperation and Transport at Algapur, Hailakandi and other places. All the heads of departments submitted report showing status of progress of schemes and projects together with money utilized for the last three financial years.
