Scientific goat rearing training organized by Assam Agriculture University

GAURISAGAR: Assam Agriculture University (AAU), Jorhat recently organized a day-long scientific goat rearing training in association with NGO Fehujali at Lukhuri LP School, Nazira under Sivsagar district.

Dr Abdus Salek and Dr Naba Nahar Deka, chief scientist and researcher respectively of Goat Research Centre, Byrnihat under AAU took part as resource persons. Addressing the farmers, Rajib Thappa, ADC-cum-SDO Nazira as chief guest urged upon goat farmers to keep scientific goat rearing.

The programme was anchored by Dr. Jagadish Barman, popular veterinary surgeon of Nazira. The resources persons highlighted the benefits of goat rearing, diseases of goats and their remedy. The farmers also exchanged views with the resource persons about various problems faced in goat rearing.
