MANGALDAI: All the members of the media fraternity and a good number of prominent citizens in Mangaldai have offered hearty felicitation and congratulations to senior journalist and sports organizer Abdul Khalek on his successful completion of glorious twenty-five years in journalism since 1996 with his base in Mangaldai.
In a function organized at Mangaldai Press Club on Monday afternoon presided over by its president Madan Barua, office bearers of Mangaldai Press Club offered him felicitation with a letter of citation, Bihuwan memento and a phulam japi. Darrang District Sports Journalists Association and Darrang District Committee of APCU also offered him felicitation. Secretary of Darrang District Committee of Axom Xahitya Xabha Gautamananda Goswami, Senior journalist Mukut Raj Sarma, Ganesh Dutta, Finance Secretary of AASU Khanindra Rajbongshi and Executive Member of AASU Niranjan Saikia, eminent blood donor Shekhar Mazumdar also took part in the felicitation function and spoke on the dedication of devotion of Abdul Khalek in journalism who started his career as a sports correspondent.
