Sivasagar district gears up for first phase of Assembly polls

GAURISAGAR: A total of 3,90,991 voters in No. 103 Amguri, No. 107 Thowra and No. 108 Sivasagar constituencies of Sivasagar district will exercise their franchises on Saturday.

Out of them, in Amguri constituency the total number of voters is 1,23,952 ( Male-61,927 and Female 62,023). The total number of voters in Thowra constituency is 1,15,364 ( Male-58,368 and Female-56,995) and in Sivasagar constituency, total number of voters is 1,51,675 ( Male-75,442 and Female-76,233). The total number of third gender voters in the district is three. The total number of service voters of the district is 1,987 (Amguri-939,Thowra-636 and Sivasagar 412). The numbers of polling stations is 574. Among them, 512 are main and 62 are auxiliary polling stations.

The numbers of PwD voters in Amguri, Thowra and Sivasagar constituences are 658, 633 and 1,064 respectively. The number of voters above 80 years is - Amguri-867, Thowra-676 and Sivasagar-1123. In the district, 18 all women polling stations have also been set up with six in each segment. Sivasagar election district has been divided into 57 sectors and 14 zones.
