Sonitpur Zila Xahitya Xabha wins best district award title

JAMUGURIHAT: Sonitpur Zila Xahitya Xabha was awarded the best district title in the recently concluded 76th biennial Narayanpur session of Assam Xahitya Xabha. In a press release issued on Tuesday by Dulal Nath, secretary of Sonitpur Zila Sahitya Sabha stated that Sonitpur Zila Sahitya Sabha was awarded with the best district award by Assam Xahitya Xabha along with five other organisational awards for the district.

In addition to the Best District Award, Tezpur and Uttar Paschim Tezpur branches of the district committee were awarded with best branches award. Similarly secretary of the district committee Dulal Nath was awarded with the best organizers award while Prashanta Das, secretary of Uttar Paschim Tezpur branch of the literary committee was awarded with special organizers award.

On the contrary, the magazine of Jugal HSS of Kaboimari under Sonitpur district was awarded with Swahid Mojambil Haque award of Assam Xahitya Xabha. Assam Xahitya Xabha presents Swahid Mojambil Haque award for the best magazine published by any educational institutions. Individuals and organisations of Sonitpur district conveyed best wishes to the team of the literary organisation for the achievement. Dulal Nath has been closely associated with journalism for nearly twenty years. He had adopted some administrative reforms to give a new height to the literary body. Basudev Sarma and Dulal Nath were president and secretary of the earlier term of Sonitpur Zila Xahitya Xabha.
