'Sootea Ratna' title conferred on MLA Padma Hazarika

JAMUGURIHAT: Padma Hazarika; the MLA of Sootea LAC, was conferred with the 'Sootea Ratna' title in a public meeting organized by Sootea Nagarik Sabha on Tuesday at Sootea. The meeting was held at Chatia HS School field chaired by Bhaba Saikia, the president of Sootea Nagarik Sabha. A multi-cultural procession was taken out. The meeting began with lighting of ceremonial lamps by Prabin Hazarika, former minister. Alakananda Bhuyan performed a borgeet which was followed by an inaugural speech by Dr. Anjan Ojha, the Principal of Chaiduwar College. Dr. Ojha recalled the childhood days of Padma Hazarika and briefed about his journey.
