Dibrugarh: Sudhanshu Gupta, workshop manager, scaled the summit of Stok Kangri (6153 metres) of the Himalayas on November 6. The minimum recorded temperature was -19 degrees.

During the expedition, two crevasses and one glacier were encountered by him and his team. The team comprised three climbers, one leading Sherpa and three porters. The climb was made by two climbers, including Gupta.

However, one climber had issues with breathing owing to less oxygen, and therefore had to wait at the summit camp for getting acclimatized before scaling up.
