Teacher of Lakhimpur district Donates to Arogya Nidhi For COVID-19

LAKHIMPUR: A teacher of Lakhimpur district, named Lalit Chandra Dutta has donated a sum of Rs 18,000 to Assam Arogya Nidhi as a contribution to the fund to be invested in order to combat against pandemic COVID-19 in the State.

Lalit Chandra Dutta is an assistant teacher of Indira Gandh High School, son of Joyram Dutta and a permanent resident of Padumoni Khat Gaon under North Lakhimpur subdivision. The teacher deposited the cheque of his 10 days’ salary to the mentioned fund through North Lakhimpur branch Union Bank on Friday.

Responding to the State Government’s appeal, the Uchsatar Madhyamik Adhyakshya Mancha (Principals’ Forum of HS Schools) took the decision to donate to the State Government’s fund Assam Arogya Nidhi constituted in order to combat the pandemic COVID-19 and to establish new hospitals for the purpose.

In this regard, forum president-in-charge Kalpana Gogoi and secretary Abdul Hasem Al Aman stated that each member of the forum would donate Rs 2,000 to the government fund as per the decision taken. So they have requested the members of the forum to deposit their contribution in the bank account no. 38706566698 (IFSC: SBIN0010669).

PATHSALA: The teaching and non-teaching staff, including the Vice-Chancellor of Bhattadev University, Bajali, have decided to donate a day’s salary to be received for the month of March, 2020 to Assam Arogya Nidhi so that the amount may be used by the Government of Assam in its fight against COVID-19.
