Three Dacoits Nabbed by Tinsukia Police

TINSUKIA: After Tinsukia had been rocked by several robbery cases recently, few even in broad daylight, the Tinsukia Police led by Sadar police in-charge Dipak Tamuli during raids conducted at several places in Tinsukia and its adjoining areas, nabbed three dacoits of a five-member gang.

On July 22 morning, an employee of Makum Motors was robbed of Rs 2.35 lakh at gunpoint on way from Makum on NH-37 by a robber in an auto-rickshaw impersonating as a passenger and he decamped with the money after being assisted by two accomplices on a bike who blocked the way. Police so far arrested Raktim Das of Chikorajan Hukanpukhuri, Satyabrata Senapati and Khogen Neog of 8 No Guijan gaon. While the latter was involved in another robbery case, two other accomplices are still absconding.
