Three-day osteoarthritis camp to kick-start today in association with Lions Club of Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: The Koleno Global Ortho Innovation (KGOI), Jaipur will hold a three-day osteoarthritis (knee braces) camp in association with Lions Club of Tinsukia City of Joy and Golap Chandra Rabi Chandra Natya Mandir from August 23 to August 26 at Golap Chandra Rabi Chandra Natya Mandir, Tinsukia.

Elaborating about the programme, Sujit Roy, the president of Lions Club of Tinsukia City of Joy, in a press meet held at Tinsukia Press Club said the camp would benefit not only the weaker sections of society but also those osteoarthritis patients who were unable to undergo operation.

Dr Jitendra Singh Chauhan of KGOI informed that the Tinsukia camp would be the fifth in Assam and so far they had treated more than 600 patients in Assam. Dr Chauhan claimed that osteoarthritis could not be cured by any medicine but knee braces was an alternative to surgery subject to proper usages being supplemented by physiotherapy. The product of knee braces used by KGOI is approved by US FDA, informed Dr Chauhan. Dr Kamal Deka of KGOI also spoke about benefits of knee brace.
