Total of 1,14,221 voters in Thowra constituency

DEMOW: A total of 1,14,221 voters will exercise their franchise from Thowra constituency in the forthcoming polls, said a source.

Out of the total voters, as many as 57,938 are male and 56,283 are female. The election in Thowra Constituency will be held in the first phase of the polls on March 27. Meanwhile, the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) has nominated Kushal Dowari its candidate for Thowra constituency for the consecutive second time. On the other hand, the Congress has nominated Sushanta Borgohain as their candidate from the constituency for the third time. The newly-floated political parties AJP (Assam Jatiya Parishad) and Raijor Dal have nominated Dipen Tanti and Dharjya Konwar respectively as their candidates.
