Two mega post-flood health campaigns held in Dibrugarh for sensitizing villagers

Dibrugarh: Two mega post-flood health campaigns were recently organized under the aegis of Dibrugarh District Health Committee and National Health Mission at Tingkhong and Aathabari, falling under Dibrugarh and Lahoal Vidhan Sabha constituencies respectively.

Inaugurated by MLAs Prashanta Phukan and Rituparna Baruah respectively, in the campaign villagers of the mentioned villages as well as of the nearby villages were sensitized on the precautionary measures to be taken in order to keep them safe from the possible post-flood diseases. Along with awareness generation, medical services were extended to the villagers by doctors of various departments of Assam Medical College and Hospitals, Mobile Medical Unit and local doctors. Villagers were also informed of the symptoms of diseases like Japanese Encephalitis and the immediate measures one needed to take if afflicted by the disease.
