Kokrajhar: At a time when police and security forces are taking tough measure against violators of social distancing, yet there are glaring examples of violation of rules and instructions during the nationwide lockdown.

The local vendors and remote villagers used to sell vegetables and some essential items including vegetable products at their homes at a temporary market along Bhur River under Runikhata PS in Chirang district after the lockdown got started. Since police have prevented them to sell any item in Runikhata regular market, the sellers and local vendors have shifted it near Bhur River. The vendors are seen violating the social distancing. Since the reports of violating social distancing reached Runikhata PS, the security forces started visiting the temporary market along Bhur River. But before police could reach the spot they run away taking their belongings and cross the river.
