Youth dies after being hit by an oil tanker train in Golaghat

Golaghat: A youth from the Khumtai area of Golaghat was hit by an oil tanker train on Friday night.

The incident took place at Khumtai near Khumtai Model Hospital. The youth has been identified as Bhrigu Gogoi. In the accident he lost his hand and leg. He was immediately admitted to the Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital. The hospital authority referred him to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital but he was died on the way to the hospital.

As per report, Brigu Gogoi was walking near the railway tracks connecting Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) with Numaligarh Station when he was hit by a train carrying oil from NRL. Suddenly lost consciousness and fell on the tracks as the train was passing by.
