Zonal review meeting on fisheries held under World Bank-funded project, Assam in Barpeta

Guwahati: A zonal review meting was held on Sunday at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Barpeta of Fisheries component under World Bank-funded project, Assam Agri-Business and Rural Transformation Project (APART). It was organized by District Fisheries in collaboration with District Administration, Barpeta.

The District Fisheries Development Officers and the representatives from the Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) of seven districts ie Barpeta, Nalbari, Dhubri, Darrang, Kamrup, Kokrajhar and Goalpara, senior departmental officers of Fishery and Agriculture and the consultants under APART attended the programme.

Earlier Padma Nath Das, Director of Fisheries, Assam explained that the fish value chain under APART was implemented by the Department of Fisheries in collaboration with district ATMA, World Fish Centre (WFC) and private sector partners, stated a press release.
