2000 members arrested while protesting in Cooch Behar

Silchar: Around 2000 members of Amra Bengali, Cooch Behar unit were arrested when they went for blocking the railway service in the State of West Bengal on Thursday.

This information has been shared at a press-communiqué by Sontosh Kumar Modak, secretary of Amra Bengali, Cooch Behar unit, on Thursday night. It has been stated that Amra Bengali along with Human Protection and Awareness Organization (HPAO) jointly raised their voices in unison against the atrocities being inflicted upon the people of Bengali community.

However, the leaders and the workers were though released in no time. Among other leaders and workers of the organizations who joined in the movement included Bokul Roy, Subodh Barman, Raju Ghosh and others.
