Silchar: At a meeting conducted by the various units of Akhil Bharatiya Vidarthi Parishad (ABVP) from various affiliated colleges of Assam University Silchar across Cachar, Karimganj and Hailakandi districts with the Vice-Chancellor of Assam University, the Controller of Examinations and the Registrar of Assam University Silchar and the teaching staff of the varsity, issues and concerns of the students related to the delay of declaration TDC Odd semester result 2018 were discussed at length. Results would be declared and published within 45 days, this was assured. However, more than 48 days have passed from the last day of the examination which was held in the month of January 2019.

The Controller accepted the failure and committed to publish the result within April 10, 2019. Further, the delegation raised the issue of requisition of odd semester mark sheet in the form fill up of even semester examination and demanded that the criterion should be withdrawn due to the reason that the students have not yet received the odd semester mark sheets. The Controller in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor and the Registrar accepted the same and also said that students of final semester who have more than 6 arrears papers will be given some extra days to fill up the form.

In reply of their queries about even semester examination date, the authority replied that they are planning to conduct the even semester examination from May 2 to May 3, 2019 but it may be delayed because Karimganj College and Hailakandi SS College will not available because they will be used as strong room for upcoming Lok Sabha Election. The memorandum was signed by Karanjit Deb, Ambar Pandey, Digbijoy Dhar, Rupam Dhar, Prosenjit Dey among others.
