Assam Rifles organizes free medical camp in Silchar

Silchar: COB Pailapool organized a free medical camp under Op Sadbhabna at Pailapool, Shibpur ME School ground on Thursday. The camp, led by H K Acharya, second-in commandant, 37 Assam Rifles, started with a huge crowd and the local NGO Saheed Nandachand Memorial Club actively involved in gathering and interpreting the local language to the medical officers.

To support the noble initiative of 37 Assam Rifles, Dr Y Kishor Singh, SDMO, in-charge, Lakhipur PHC, voluntarily rendered his service for the students and the poor villagers. Around 150 males, 300 females and 200 students treated by 37 Assam Rifles doctors and the CDMO Lakhipur. NGO Saheed Nandachand Memorial Club actively assisted in gathering and interpreting local language and dialect of the people to the medical officers. People of this region which consists villages Kalabeel, Rongmei Shibpur, Moragang and Pailapool, conveyed their gratitude towards 37 Assam Rifles. Sanjukta Das, block programme manager, was also present at the camp.
