Commoners’ Health Camp Held At Tullapatty, Silchar

SILCHAR: With an aim towards creating a healthier society, the Commoners’ organization in a joint initiative with Sri Sri Shyam Sundar Jew Mandir Parichalan and Unnayan Samiti conducted a health check-up camp at Sri Sri Shyam Sundar Jew Mandir premises at Tullapatty, Silchar recently.

The camp catered to the basic health needs of the people where diabetes and hypertension screenings were conducted by the medical team. The camp was presided Dr Rohan Biswas. Dr Payel Hazari, Dr Rohan Biswas, Dr Orko Paul of National Health Mission, Assam, while Dr Smita Deb and Dr Supritam Das of Silchar Medical College and Hospital carried out the check-up camp and emphasised on the need of health awareness. The health camp provided free medicines to the beneficiaries. Members of the organization, who conducted the programme, included Ratnam Deb Kanungo, Prosenjit Bhowmick, Purvi Nath, Shwetadri Dev, Dipita Bhattacharjee, Riya Saha, among others. The programme was attended by the organization’s general secretary Sourav Sutradhar, assistant secretary Bishal Nath among others.
