Joint team of Excise and APBn destroyed Illicit liquor at Hailakandi

HAILAKANDI: A joint team of Excise and APBn of Lala raided several tea gardens and destroyed illicit distilled liquor and fermented wash on Tuesday. Disclosing this, Inspector of Excise, Surendra Nath Barman said the raids were conducted at Kalacherra, Gaglacherra, Lalamukh, Lalacherra and Vernerpur tea estates and the seized articles were destroyed.

Barman disclosed that 25 litres of illicit distilled liquor and about 1,170 litres of fermented wash, besides seven numbers of distilling apparatus were destroyed.
