ACA includes new member Runumi Borkataky in Apex Council

GUWAHATI: Assam Cricket Association inducted former women cricketer of the State Runumi Borkataky in it's Apex Council. As per the rules there should be two former players, one male and one female, in the 9-member Apex Council of the Assam Cricket Association. Runumi has been recommended as a player member by ICA.

Runumi, former member of state team, represented Assam in various age group and senior competitions from 1989-2010.

In a release the secretary of the Assam Cricket Association DevajitSaikia said that induction of Runumi in the Apex Council will help Assam Cricket Association to take up some initiatives for the development of women's cricket in the State.
