AG Assam win East Zone IAAD Badminton Title

GUWAHATI: AG Assam won the East Zone IAAD Badminton Tournament defeating AG Odisha 3-0 in the final held in Shillong today. With this title, AG Assam are entered into the All India IAAD Badminton Tournament which would be held at Bhopal from September 23.

Meanwhile, Nitish Bora and Ningshi Block Hazarika reached into the final in the mixed doubles event of the championship. The final is scheduled to be held tomorrow.

Team event results: Nitish Bora beat Manas Raut 21-14,17-21,23-21. Nanda Kumar Singh beat Mohan Kumar 21-12, 21-7. Rajeeb Boruah and Nitish Bora beat Manas Raut and Gyan Chand 21-12, 21-18.
