ASJA not to stage Memorial Lecture in view of Covid-19 pandemic

GUWAHATI: In view of the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic the Assam Sports Journalists Association has decided not to stage this year's edition of the annual Pulin Das Memorial Lecture. ASJA organizes the event every year on July 16 to mark the pioneer Sports Journalist's death anniversary.

In earlier editions the lectures were delivered by former India badminton captain Sanjay Sharma, former India hockey captain Dilip Tirkey and noted sports journalist Lokendra Pratap Sahi.

The Assam Sports Journalists Association in a release said that the lecture series will revive as soon as the situation permits.
