GUWAHATI: Assam registered their second victory in the Junior National Football defeating Lakshadweep 5-0 at Jabalpur today. Biliphang Boro scored a hat-trick in the game.
Biliphang opened account for Assam in the 11 minute and he made it 2-0 in the 26th minute. Biliphang scored his third goal in the 57th minute. Ringkhang Baro (31) and Kongkon Dev Bordoloi (88 minute) were the other scorers in the match.
With this victory Assam are placed in second spot with 6 points from three games in group ‘B’ of tier II. Chandigarh are at the top with 9 points from three games.
