Ex cricketer Jadavananda Bhuyan passes away

GUWAHATI: Executive member of Lakhimpur Cricket Association, former district cricketer and Class III umpire Jadavananda Bhuyan took his last breath at 10.30 am on Thursday after suffering long term illness. He was 43. He represented Lakhimpur for many years in district level tournaments and then associated with the district association. He also played Veteran Inter-District Cricket Tournament in the recent past. Apart from cricket Jadavananda completed a B Music degree in tabla and served as a teacher in Lakhimpur Girls Higher Secondary School. He left a wife and one daughter.

The general secretary of the Veteran Cricket Association of Assam Nasir Gul Khan deeply grieved by the tragic news of the demise of Jadavananda. He would like to share deep sorrow and sympathy with his family members through this message.

In his condolences message, Secretary of Lakhimpur Cricket Association Sujit Choudhury extended his deepest sympathies to the family.
