Ranji Trophy: Good start by Assam openers in second innings

GUWAHATI: Assam made good comeback in the Ranji Trophy tie against Uttar Pradesh in Kanpur today. At stumps on day III the visitors were 102-0 in their second innings. Opener Rahul Hazarika remained not out on 56 and he was giving accompany by Rishav Das (37) .

Earlier in reply to Assam first innings total 175 host Uttar Pradesh completed their first innings 619. Two of their batsmen-Rinku singh (149) and Upendra Yadav (138) scored century. Among the bowlers of Assam Ranjeet Mali picked up 4-127. Jitimoni Kalita and Gokul Sarma bagged two wickets each.
