Shillong Endurance Motor Sports Challenge from Tomorrow

SHILLONG: The Shillong Endurance Motorsports Club in collaboration with the Meghalaya Aids Control Society (MACS) will host the Shillong Endurance Motor Sports Challenge 2018 from November 22 to 24 at Iew Shillong, Umtyngngar, Upper Shillong.

Alex of the MACS said that the society is collaborating with Shillong Endurance Motorsports Club to create awareness of misconceptions on HIV/AIDS.

He also said that motorsports have a large following of youth and with MACS associating with the sport it will create awareness on HIV/AIDS and indulge the groups (youth) in “healthy behavior”.

Barry Kharmalki an activist working with people living with HIV/AIDS said that the best part of the event is to create awareness and on the disease by challenging the stigma and discrimination.

The Shillong Endurance Motor Sports Challenge 2018 will have racing in the 4X4 category, Motorcross, cycles and non-gear scooters.
