When asked on the reasons of the four Congress MDCs who did not join the party on Saturday he said that whoever has been finalise they have joined.

He also said that this is not the end of the entire process.

On media reports that Congress MLAs are in touch with the BJP Kohli made it clear that nobody has got in touch with him.

“However, as far as the BJP is concerned our doors are always open. With regard to the Congress MLAs no one has come to meet me or spoken with me,” Kohli added.

It may be mentioned that BJP leader and cabinet minister in the state, AL Hek has said that eight Congress MLAs are in touch with him.

When asked about the MDCs from Garo Hills, he said that as per his information, the number could be larger.

“Nothing is final yet. There are MDCs who are in touch with the local leaders,” Kohli said.

When asked if the development in the JHADC will change the political situation there, Kohli said that there is no such conflict.

“Please bear in mind very political party is entitled to function for its expansion and we all do. Just we are in the coalition Government it does not mean that the NPP, UDP or any other party does not do its own party work,” Kohli added.
