Arrear salary continues to elude Meghalaya SSA School Association teachers

SHILLONG, July 30: To follow up the demand of the Association and to remind the State Government to release the salary and Arrears to 12481 SSA Teachers in the State, the Meghalaya SSA School Association (MSSASA) Central Body called on the Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on July 24 at his office.

Aristotle C Rymbai President of MSSASA Aristotle C Rymbai has informed that during the meeting the Association with Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on July 24 the CM had assured the Association to release the arrear for disbursement to teachers without any further delay after the State Government receives the funds from the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). Rymbai said this in a statement issued here today. While the matter is being pursued with the MHRD, the CM informed that payment of arrear salary can’t be done at present as there were some necessary requirements need to be done and it will take some more time.

It may be mention that recently the Chief Minister met the officials of MHRD in New Delhi for the release of funds to Meghalaya for payment of SSA Teachers salary of current academic year which is pending for 4 months.
