Chief Minister Conrad Sangma Launches CM’s Civil Services Fellows

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma launched the Chief Minister’s Civil Services Fellows, (scholarship worth Rs 1 crore for 100 youths) creating an opportunity for deserving and talented IAS aspirants of Meghalaya to undergo free of cost coaching from ALS IAS.

ALS IAS which is India’s largest IAS coaching network, has more than 75 centers across India, including 30 in the Northeast along with 2,837 selections in UPSC till date including 154 selections last year.

ALS has also been honoured with similar sponsorship for IAS training from the Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Mizoram and Manipur in the past.

ALS National Sales Head Prateek Bhattacharya also announced scholarship worth Rs 1 crore for 265 aspirants under the ‘ALS CSR Initiative for Youth of Meghalaya’.

Conrad also mentioned that the selection of 100 students sponsored under the Chief Minister’s Civil Services Fellows will be based on Meghalaya Reservation Roster List to give equal opportunity to students from Khasi, Jaintia and Garo Hills.

The scholarship exam will be conducted September 15, 2019 in all the district headquarters of Meghalaya under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner of each district.

Application forms will be made available from September 4 with last date of form submission being September 12.
