District and Sessions Judge, East Garo Hills issues COVID-19 advisory

WILLIAMNAGAR: In view of the outbreak of COVID-19, the District and Sessions Judge, East Garo Hills, has issued a circular with regard to the preventive measures being adopted by the district court from March 16 to 27, stated a press release.

According to the circular, the District and Sessions Court will take up only urgent matters, the personal presence of litigants may be dispensed with on petitions filed in that regard unless mandated and the members Bar, litigants and court staff having symptoms of cold, fever, sore throat, cough, running nose, etc., had been advised to restrain from visiting and attending the court premises.

The members of the public, unless it is very essential, had been advised not to visit the front office of the court and maintain social distancing and curtail the duration of visit to the court, the circular said.
