Footpath to Shillong View Point opened

SHILLONG: Sanbor Shullai-MLA inaugurated the newly “constructed of cobbled footpath (trekking path) from upper lumparing, Laban to Shillong view point” sanctioned for an amount of RS. 33,70,000 under Tourism Department.

The MCIC, in collaboration with the Dorbar Shnong Upper Lumparing, organized the inauguration function of the newly constructed at Lumsohphoh Upper Lumparing, Cobbled Trekking Footpath from Lumsohphoh Upper Lumparing up to Shillong View Point Peak for an amount of Rs. 33,70,000 on December 1, 2018. The scheme was planned, initiated and recommended by anbor Shullai.

The function addressed by H B Wahlang, headman of Upper Lumparing and other local Leaders lauded the initiative and sustained efforts of Shullai for bringing various kind of development schemes from various departments.

Shullai, who was the chief guest, during his speech expressed his sincere thanks to the Dorbar Shnong of Upper Lumparing, the Tourism Department for their help and support for making this dream come true as this trekking footpath will be a great help for the General public to reach the Shillong View Point in their day-to-day visit.

The inauguration function attended by the members of the Dorbar Shnong, members of Seng Kynthei, official of Tourism Department and prominent residents of the locality.
