SHILLONG: Four more COVID-19 patient died in Meghalaya, taking the fatality count in the State to 24, while 151 more persons tested positive for COVID-19, taking the number of active cases to 1534 on Friday.

In East Khasi Hills district, 98 new cases were reported (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 41 and Others : 57), West Khasi Hills 02 civilians, West Garo Hills 17 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 07 and Others : 10), West Khasi Hills 02 ( all civilians), North Garo Hills 03 ( all civilians), East Jaintia Hills 27 ( all civilians), South West Garo Hills 03 (all civilians) and West Jaintia Hills 01.

New recovered cases 47 were reported, in East Khasi Hills district 30, West Garo Hills 07, East Garo Hills 02, Ri Bhoi 03, South West Garo Hills 01, total recovered 1889.

Out of 1534 total active cases, in East Khasi Hills 961 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 185 and Others : 776). In west Khasi Hills District 34 cases, Ri Bhoi district 125 (Armed Forces/Paramilitary Forces: 39 and Others: 86), West Jaintia Hills district 13, East Jaintia Hills district 139, West Garo Hills district 204 (Armed Forces/Paramilitary Forces: 84 and Others:120), South West Garo Hills district 09, South Garo Hills district 20, East Garo Hills district 16 and North Garo Hills district 12.

The total COVID 19 cases so far recorded in the state is 3,447 which includes twenty four deaths due to COVID-19 have been reported so far.
