Meghalaya awaits Centre’s date on Inner Line permit (ILP) meet

SHILLONG: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has not yet given any date to Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma for deliberating on the Meghalaya Assembly's resolution for introduction of the Inner Line permit (ILP) in the State. Informing this to mediapersons on Thursday, State Minister of Urban Affairs Hamlet Dohling added, "We are waiting for New Delhi to call us to discuss on the demand for implementation of ILP in Meghalaya. It is an important issue for the State especially after this issue has been passed in the form of a resolution to implement ILP in Meghalaya.”
