People From all Walks of Life Participate in Pre Christmas Carol Celebration

SHILLONG: People belonging to different religious community on Sunday participated in a Pre Christmas Carol celebration organized by local MLA of South Shillong Constituency Sanbor Shullai.

Hundreds of people from the constituency young and old participated in the Christmas Carol and they were also gifted with Christmas caps by the MLA Sanbor Shullai along with sweets and chocolates.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the Christmas Carol, Shullai said, “Every year we use to celebrate all kinds of festival of different religion be it Diwali, Durga Puja, Eid al-Fitr and today we are all together from different community to celebrate this Pre Christmas Carol.”

He informed that this year the number of people participating in the pre Christmas Celebration has exceeded the number of people participating in last year event.

When asked, he said, “The message I want to give to the people of my constituency and the residents of the state is that the people should celebrate Christmas peacefully as the most important thing this Christmas is that there should be peace and harmonly on earth.”
