Meghalaya: Quiz Competition Organized by EPIL's NE Regional Office at Tura

GUWAHATI: As a part of the ongoing "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" the NE Regional Office, Guwahati, of M/s Engineering Projects (India) Limited (Govt. of India Enterprise) organized a quiz competition at "Don Bosco Henry Frassy Memorial Secondary School, Chidekgre, Tura, West Garo Hills, Meghalaya," on Tuesday. The topic of the quiz competition was "Contribution of Tribal Communities to Nation Building".

The quiz competition was conducted in the form of multiple-choice question papers. Questions were asked about the eminent personalities of tribal communities and their contributions to nation-building. The students from classes VI to X took part in the competition.

The award distribution ceremony of the competition was organised after the competition's conclusion. The programme started with the singing of the National Anthem and the lighting of the lamp by Mukesh Thakur, Regional In-Charge of EPIL, and Kishor Kalita, DGM of EPIL, Wallish A. Sangma, Headmaster of School, and Saljong B. Marak, Teacher of School. Mukesh Thakur welcomed and honoured the dignitaries with traditional Garo shawls. Merry Rikamchi A. Sangma and Prisedon R. Marak were awarded the first and second prizes, respectively. Grenallina R. Marak and Sengsrang Ch. Sangma were awarded the third prize. In addition to the above, ten students were awarded consolation prizes. The winning students were felicitated with prizes and certificates, stated a press release.
