Section 144 CrPC promulgated

SHILLONG: The District Magistrate, Ri Bhoi District, Nongpoh has under Section 144 CrPC, prohibited any Industries, Institutions, private hotels, dhabas or any person among other from indulging in, or resorting to, any act of poisoning of rivers, streams or any other water bodies with the explicit intension to cause wide spread/large scale destruction of aquatic life within the district. This order comes into force with immediate effect, an official release stated on Tuesday.
