14 Major Churches in Mizoram Disagrees with the Supreme Court Scrapping of Section 377

Going against the tide, the churches in Mizoram have opined that it will never accept the Supreme Court judgment on scrapping the Section 377. The latest verdict of the highest court of the nation that sexual relations between the homosexuals and lesbians will be lawful from now on is being strictly opposed by the churches. They opine that it should be continued to be criminalized as it was before.

A conglomerate of leaders of 14 major churches in the state, the Mizoram Kohhran Hruaitute Committee, said it on Monday that it wished the apex court would have never scrapped Section 377.
