Assam Rifles organizes weapon and equipment display at Company Operating Base, Parva

AIZAWL: Lunglei Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), organized a "Weapon and Equipment Display" at the Company Operating Base, Parva on October 26, 2022, as part of the weeklong Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations. A total of 72 students of the English Medium School, Parva-IV attended the event.

The aim of the programme was to increase awareness about the weapons held with Assam Rifles and to motivate young minds to join the folds of the Indian Armed Forces and Assam Rifles. Eligibility criteria were also explained in terms of age, qualification and physical standards for joining the security forces. There was enthusiastic participation from the students and the display was well received by them. The display was warmly welcomed by the conducting staff & students of English Medium School, Parva-IV. The efforts of Assam Rifles were highly appreciated for guiding the youth of Parva village, (Mizoram), a press release said.
